About Me…

Stacey Von Busch is a sewist out of Pulaski, WI. She has a passion for using repurposed materials to create storytelling textile art with symbolism and nostalgia. With a preference for hand stitching, she utilizes a simple slow stitch to create lines and texture, which provide a meditative rhythm to each piece she composes. Stacey also specializes in one-of-a-kind stuffed animals made from her clients’ keepsake clothing. She has operated her business, “Eight Trees Company” since 2012.

Stacey has three girls, Octavia, Adeline, and June, from which she draws an abundance of motivation and inspiration.  She is also the founder of SAGE, an arts advocacy non-profit serving Brown County, WI.

My work has been under the name “Eight Trees Company” since 2012.

I’m a Small Business Owner.

I’m an unwavering Advocate for the Arts.

But my FAVORITE part about life is being a mom to three independent, strong-willed young humans, who are the real reason this business exists.

Why “Eight Trees Company”?

Because of this kid…

My oldest daughter, Octavia Laura…whose name translates as “The Eighth Tree”. I started this business making handmade baby items for her. My coworkers saw what I was making and wanted handmade toys for their own children. When Octavia was only 4 months old, we set up at our first market together in southern Indiana. She would go on to spend the first two years of her life tagging along with mom to all my shows.
